It is important to use all sorts of advertising means available to get your programs out there and seen by people that are interested. The goal is to get targeted traffic to your website, people that are looking for what you are selling. I use all kinds of advertising, safelists, classifieds, solo-ads, ad boards, forums, text ads, Traffic Exchanges. Most are free to join, they all have upgrade features if you choose to upgrade in them, but you do not have to pay to use them. The goal is to use some paid and free advertising, do not over extend yourself with advertising costs, it can get overwhelming.
